The Living Beyond Grief Program
From Predictable Grief (the 5 Stages) to Exponential Grief Resilience:
Open Yourself to Living Life Anew, Join us for THE LIVING BEYOND GRIEF Program
Grief is universal, yet deeply personal. It can leave us stuck, disconnected, or questioning how to honor our loss. What if grief isn’t the end of the story? What if it’s an invitation to deeper connection, meaning, and vibrant living?
You’ve likely heard of Dr. Kübler-Ross’s stages of grief—denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. But did you know these stages were meant to describe grief, not prescribe it?
It was a turning point in my release from Psychological Suffering when I realized the first four stages of grief were a fight with “what is.”
True acceptance begins when we stop that fight.
The Truth About Grief
You may have heard the phrase:
“Grief is love with nowhere to go.”
If I hold that societal thought as my belief, I am likely to conclude: “the more I suffer, the more it proves how deeply I loved.” Can you see how this circular reasoning keeps us stuck? When we grieve, many emotions and dynamics besides love are involved: attachment, control, desire, ambivalence, perceived mistakes, imagined unworthiness, etc.
In the mindset part of this program, we will disentangle our false beliefs.
Our beliefs can keep us stuck, turning grief into perpetual suffering. I experienced a startling disruption to my own grief in 2018. Everything changed. Now, I’m sharing the teachings and tools that have helped me live bigger, bolder, and with purpose…specifically honoring Melissa.
Is this for you?
Ask yourself:
- Are you willing to feel well and “alright,” or do you feel you must prove your love through suffering?
- Do you fear that stepping outside the identity of a grieving person will leave you feeling more alone?
- Does letting go of suffering feel like losing your connection to your loved one?
- Do you believe it’s possible to resolve unfinished business with your loved one, even though they are no longer here?
What to Expect
This 8-session journey, limited to 8 women, is designed to transmute your suffering into your form of passion, purpose and possibility. This shift is an honoring of your loved one!
In this journey, you will:

Honor Grief, Embrace Life
Grief can feel comforting in its familiarity. If that’s where you are right now, honor that. I once thought my life was over. But after ‘the shift,’ I realized I could live bigger and bolder for my daughter than I ever lived for myself.

Rosalyn Rourke, MSW
Rosalyn Rourke, MSW, is a two-time best-selling author. She worked for 30 + years as a psychotherapist, specializing in life and death issues, including suicidal ideation, eating disorders, and family constellation work. Trained in advanced trauma interventions through Smith College School for Social Work and post graduate work at Yale Psychiatric facilities, she brings a seasoned, mature perspective to living and dying well.
After the unexpected death of her daughter, Rosalyn’s perspective on grief profoundly shifted.
Rosalyn has developed a new paradigm of Grief that reframes loss as an opportunity for growth and meaning. The ‘Stages of grief’ need not be long held, but can be like other feelings that pass through us.
From Rosalyn’s perspective how we handle death is much like how we handle loss in other arenas including attachment, money, physical loss and so on. While we are motivated and energized, let’s develop our best strategies for living.
The bright Light I know as Rosalyn Rourke is an inspired teacher, counselor and leader. Rosalyn has been teaching and sharing her wisdom of the Enneagram in the Power of Love Ministry classes for years and has counseled numerous participants to see the more loving choices in how they approach their life and relationships. Rosalyn is a beautiful advocate for following inspiration and knowing how to be in tune with the Infinite Field of Love. I have learned so much from her! I consider that any time I can spend with Rosalyn is well spent! Her insights are invaluable and her compassionate approach is deeply healing and nourishing. If you can, find a way to work with her and you’ll see the benefits right away.

A few times, I have said: I would take anything Rosalyn teaches. Now I ask myself why? What is it about her teaching and coaching that would prompt those words?
In classes, I love that Rosalyn focuses in on each person in a Love Seat with a depth of listening that uncovers meaning that most of us would have missed. While the person in the Love Seat tells their situation, Rosalyn has a way of bringing the hidden meaning in people’s strategies home to all of us in the group. Her Enneagram wisdom is profound. She shares that knowledge in everyday terms that we can each apply to our lives.
Besides her Enneagram Study Groups, I attend her Glimpses of Awakening meetings. Between the Enneagram and Glimpses, I have had life changing Realizations about how I operate in the world when I act unconsciously. That Realization has brought a clarity about the accessible, tangible ways I can be in peace with my children, husband and the world. These Realizations are life changing and not just situational.
If you have an opportunity to work with Rosalyn 1:1 or in a class, you may receive more than you let yourself expect. I have witnessed and experienced her use of Emotional Freedom Techniques (tapping) in an Enneagram group and it is profoundly life altering for the witness and the person receiving the tapping. Because Rosalyn has varied tools to draw from because of her vast experience, her approaches are never mechanistic. Indeed I find her always kind and connected, which invites me to be more open.
